Cooking Tip
Did you know that when you add vegetables to a soup, they taste better if you sauté them in a little butter first.
Also, a cold soup needs to be thoroughly chilled - always. To help with this, chill the bowls or cups you are going to serve the soup in and the soup will stay cold longer. |

Gazpacho first came from the southern Spanish region of Andalusia. Through the years, Gazpacho has taken on a few different forms and flavors, but it is tradtionally made with ripe tomatoes, bell peppers, garlic, cucumbers and bread.
First eaten by the workers in the fields, Gazpacho provided an entire meal that was easily carried and eaten. Today, it's a beloved favorite, especially in the hot of the summer.
The word "gazpacho", according to the experts, comes fromthe word "caspa" which means residue or fragments - referring to the small pieces of vegetables and cut up pieces of bread that make up a traditional Gazpacho.
