Yummy Ground Beef Dip
Appetizer Soup

A real party pleaser, Ground Beef Dip will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. This appetizer soup (or dip) will make your guests swoon with delight.

I admit it... it makes ME swoon with delight. Anything with cream cheese in it becomes a favorite of mine.

This recipe is very easy to make and especially since you can make it ahead of time and store it until you are ready to use it. I promise, your friends will beg you for the recipe. Just send them here!

What you'll need:
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 jalapeno pepper (seeded and minced, optional)
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed and minced)
- 1 can (4 ounces) mild chile peppers (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
- 2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp oregano
- 16 oz. cream cheese, softened and cut in cubes
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder, mild to medium heat

What to do:

1. Brown the ground beef with onion and jalapeno pepper in a medium sized skillet. Drain off the fat and pour browned meat into your crockpot.

2. Add garlic, chile peppers, salt, tomato sauce, ketchup, oregano, sugar, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and chili powder to the meat mixture in the crockpot.

3. Set your crockpot on LOW for approximately 2 hours. Make sure that the cream cheese has melted and is thoroughly blended. Stir, taste it (yummy!), and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

4. Lastly, thing to do is to serve this delicious ground beef dip directly from the crockpot or move it to a chafing dish. Serve your favorite chips for dipping, and watch it disappear before your eyes.
