Your Lobster Bisque Guide

I burned my soup once. Have you ever done that? Here's a great tip to fix that. Take the liquid part of your soup and pour it into a new, clean pan. Then, add these ingredients: mustard, curry powder, chutney, or your one other of your favorite flavors. Quantities are always to taste and you'll be amazed at how this tip really works!

Lobster Bisque
Soup Recipe

Here's a wonderful recipe for Lobster Bisque that makes my mouth water just writing the ingredients down! If you love lobster and the smooth creamy texture of bisque, then this is the soup for you.

What you'll need:
- 1 to 2 cups cooked lobster meat, approximately 1 small lobster
- 1/3 cup dry sherry
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tsp. steak sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- seasoned salt to taste

What to do:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the lobster and the sherry and set aside.

  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Then, blend in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes smooth and a little bubbly. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.

  3. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture has thickened, Then, stir in the steak sauce and salt, pepper, and seasoned salt to taste. Add the reserved lobster and sherry. Finally, cover and simmer the lobster bisque for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

This delicious soup recipe makes 4 cups of Lobster Bisque.
