Your Savory Seafood Soups Guide

Cooking Tip

Fish is cooked when the flesh becomes opaque and begins to flake at the thickest part of the fish.

Not that all fish ends up in soup, but if you are cooking fish for any other reason, remember that fish will continue cooking for up to 1 to 2 minutes after being removed from the heat source. Plan on this in your cooking time.

Savory Seafood Soups

Seafood soups come in all shapes and sizes. From chowders and bisques to stews and broth, soups filled with the treasures of the sea are a delight to eat. Using fresh fish is best, of course, but frozen or canned fish can be used for certain recipes. For more information about how to handle fresh fish, visit our Seafood Cooking Tips page.

I've tried to provide a variety of flavors, textures and mouth-watering recipes to please even the pickiest of eaters.
