Tomato Sip Soup
Microwave Soup, Appetizer

Ever come in from the cold and want something hot to drink? Well, this Tomoto Sip Soup is the perfect solution. No spoons necessary! If you have a big crowd over, then simply have this soup ready to serve on the stove and ladle it up.

Your friends and family will appreciate being able to warm up, walk around and talk and have something delicious to sip.

What you'll need:
- 2 10-oz. cans beef bouillon
- 2 1/2 cups tomato juice
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 6 whole cloves
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Lemon slices for garnish or celery sticks (with tops left on) for stirrers

What to do:

  1. Combine the bouillon, tomato juice, lemon juice, cloves, basil, bay leaf and Worcestershire sauce in a large microwaveable casserole dish or bowl.

  2. Microwave on High Power, 8-10 minutes or until tomato mixture begins to boil.

  3. Remove bay leaf and cloves and serve in mugs or soup bowls. Garnish with lemon slices or serve with celery stalks as stirrers.

  4. This soup recipe makes enough for 6 servings. You can also make mutliply batches for a large crowd and simply re-heat when needed. Just don't let it boil as it will intensify the lemon flavor and potentially become bitter tasting.

Your friends will love this Tomato Sip Soup and so will you! Enjoy!
