Zesty Tomato Soup
Appetizer Soup

Deeeelish! My mother-in-law, Margie, gave me her recipe for Zesty Tomato Soup and I became an instant convert!

And if you knew me, you'd know that up until I first tried her recipe, I was not a big fan of the red soup. All that has changed now and you'll agree it's delicious when you try it too.

Warming the heart, body and soul, this soup works well as an apres ski drink or a starter for any kind of party or gathering. Serve this tummy warmer in a mug that's been heated up and watch everyone's eyes light up as they sip it.

Here's the kicker: Save the juice left over from your big jar of pickles you just finished off. Why, you ask? It's the secret ingredient for the soup! Simply combine all the ingredients and bring to a boil. Serve it immediately. How easy is that?

What you'll need:
- 1 large can of tomato juice
- 4 Tbsp sugar (or less - I usually use less)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 dashes of Tobasco or other pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup dill pickle juice
- 1/3 cup of fresh or bottled lemon juice (fresh is better)
